Royal tailor set record straight on infamous Kate and Meghan bridesmaid drama as text messages between them are revealed

Part 2 of 2

Harry says: “Meg asked if Kate was aware of what was going on right now. With her father. Kate said she was well aware, but the dresses. And the wedding is in four days!”

To which Meghan snapped back: “Yes, Kate, I know… ”

Harry recalled Meghan telling Kate: “I’m not sure what else to say. If the dress doesn’t fit then please take Charlotte to see Ajay. He’s been waiting all day,” to which Kate replied: “Fine.”

When Harry returned home after the disagreement, he discovered Meghan in tears,’ sobbing on the floor’.

The next day, Kate seemed to have arrived with a bunch of flowers and a card to apologize for the misunderstanding.

At the time, the Royal Family declined to comment on Harry’s charges in Spare.

Since then, elite tailor Ajay Mirpui has told the Daily Mail what happened that day.

“If anything happened in the background, it didn’t happen in front of me,” Mirpui recalled. “But yes, weddings are stressful at the best of times – and especially one at this high level; you’ve got to respect that. They were faced with a problem like anyone gets at a wedding, with last-minute hitches. I can understand why anybody would be upset if the dresses weren’t fitting – it’s nerve-wracking.”

The tailor continued: “I feel for them all because you wouldn’t want the children to go out on a big stage in an ill-fitting dress – and that’s what they were.

“All six bridesmaids’ dresses had to be fixed, and we did it.”

Mirpui also stated that the bridesmaids’ dresses, as they came, would not fit Princess Charlotte or Harry and Meghan’s goddaughters.

“We had to work tooth and nail for four days, four of us working until 4 am three nights in a row, to make them fit,” he added. “We left Windsor Castle at 10 pm, the night before the wedding.

“Did anyone on the day complain about the bridesmaids’ dresses and how they looked? The answer is no.”
