Earlier this year, Harry shared with the BBC that he remains open to making peace. “I would love reconciliation with my family,” he said in May. “There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore.” These remarks came shortly after a legal defeat involving his request for police protection in the UK — a decision he has, at least in part, linked to his father. Buckingham Palace has consistently stated that such decisions are not made by the King.

The fracture between Prince Harry and the royal family dates back to 2020, when Harry and Meghan stepped down from their official royal duties and moved to California.
