Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent in Charge Eric DeLaune, a Louisiana native, is leading the federal coordination for the event, which has been classified as a SEAR 1 security event—the highest level.
“I have worked to coordinate the security of the land, air, and local waterways, with the vital support of our partners, leveraging a united front of all of those law enforcement entitles [sic],” stated DeLaune.

The attack site on Bourbon Street has also undergone security enhancements, including the restoration of protective bollards that were under repair at the time of the incident.
Noem, who visited the site, stressed the importance of learning from past events. “We have an opportunity to learn from what happened. The Super Bowl is the biggest Homeland Security event we do every single year,” she said.
With increased law enforcement presence and heightened security measures, officials is still confident in their ability to provide a safe environment for the championship game, which will take place on February 9 at Caesars Superdome, located at 1500 Sugar Bowl Drive.

Regarding how viewers at home can watch the game, there are various ways to tune in to the sporting event. It will be broadcast live on FOX, with national coverage starting at 6:30 p.m. ET. Viewers with connected televisions can also stream the game via the NFL and Tubi channels.
For those with only a tablet or phone, the event can be streamed live through the NFL app. Fans who prefer audio coverage can listen via NFL+, SiriusXM, and WestwoodONE. The NFL Network will also provide more than 70 hours of live coverage throughout Super Bowl week.
In addition, the NFL shared a detailed diagram of the 2024-2025 NFL playoffs, showcasing all the teams the Chiefs and Eagles defeated on their way to Super Bowl LIX.
