Everything we know about Andrew’s new home as prince is stripped of all his titles

Part 2 of 2

“Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease and he will move to alternative private accommodation… These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him.”

The Palace added that the King and Queen’s sympathies “remain with the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.”

A Modest Future at Sandringham

Andrew is expected to relocate to the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, another of the late Queen’s cherished residences. However, he won’t be moving into the main house. Instead, he’s likely to occupy one of the estate’s smaller cottages among its 150 properties.

Potential homes being discussed include York Cottage, Park House (where Princess Diana was born), or Garden’s House, once used by the estate’s head gardener.

More modest options also exist on the rental market nearby — including two- and three-bedroom houses priced between $1,300 and $1,600 per month — a far cry from his Windsor mansion.

Who Will Foot the Bill?

King Charles is expected to provide private financial support for his brother, ensuring that taxpayers are not responsible for Andrew’s new living arrangements.

While the King’s exact contribution is unknown, it’s part of an effort to end public funding for Andrew’s lifestyle, which has long drawn criticism from Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee.

In addition to any private support from the King, Andrew has access to limited personal funds, though details of his business income remain undisclosed. His only confirmed public income is his Royal Navy pension, totaling just $26,000 per year.

With his royal privileges revoked and his future uncertain, Andrew now faces a drastically reduced life — one that reflects his fall from grace within the modern monarchy.
