Trooping the Colour: Prince George’s height sparks prediction from fans

During this year’s Trooping the Colour on Saturday, Prince George caught the attention of royal watchers—not with his actions, but with his surprising height, leading many to make predictions about his future stature.

The 11-year-old royal joined his siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, as they took part in King Charles’ official birthday parade on June 14.

The royal family participated in the grand procession and later appeared on the Buckingham Palace balcony to watch the RAF flypast in celebration of the King’s special day.

As expected, much of the public’s focus was on the youngest royals, particularly Prince Louis, seven, whose playful behavior has been a highlight in past years.

Prince George’s Height: A Talking Point

Though there’s no official record of Prince George’s current height, it’s widely known that Princess Kate stands at around 5 feet 7 inches. Based on recent appearances, George seems to be rapidly approaching her height.

After seeing him during Trooping the Colour, many fans expressed amazement at how tall the young prince is becoming.

“He’s going to be taller than Prince William in a few years,” one fan commented. William is believed to be 6 feet 3 inches tall, and many now think George could eventually outgrow both his parents.

A video showing the Wales family watching the flypast prompted one viewer to write: “Prince George is going to be taller than William in a few years. Lovely family.”

Reactions and Predictions

Another royal follower noted: “Totally agree. I think he has already reached Catherine’s height or is just slightly shorter.”

A third observer remarked: “On the balcony, did anyone else notice that the Princess of Wales is only about a head taller than Prince George? And she’s wearing heels. He’s grown so much! By next year, he may match her height.”

Yet another added: “Lovely photo. Looks like Prince George will be tall like his dad.”

A Sweet Exchange Between Brothers

The parade also featured some heartwarming moments between the young royals. As the family rode in a carriage from Buckingham Palace to Horse Guards Parade, a candid exchange between Louis and George was observed.

Lip-reading expert Nicola Hickling, speaking to The Sun, shared what she believes Louis asked his older brother: “Should I wave?”

George is said to have replied: “It’s up to you, I can’t believe how sunny it is.”

Louis then suggested, “Let’s do it together.”

A Longstanding Royal Celebration

Trooping the Colour is a time-honored event, held each June to mark the official birthday of the monarch. Though King Charles’ actual birthday falls on November 14, the celebration is traditionally moved to summer to take advantage of better weather.

The event has been a royal tradition for over 260 years and continues to be one of the most anticipated fixtures on the royal calendar.
