Learn how to unclog your house’s drains in less than 5 minutes with this trick

Dealing with clogged pipes can be a major inconvenience, often leading to sewage overflow and unpleasant odors. While chemical unblockers are commonly used, natural remedies like baking soda and white vinegar are often more effective and environmentally friendly. These kitchen staples have diverse uses, including clearing blocked drains.
Why Baking Soda and White Vinegar?
Baking Soda: This versatile ingredient is known for its deodorizing, disinfecting, and grease-cutting properties. Composed of hydrogen carbonate and sodium, baking soda has been proven effective against bacteria and fungi, making it a staple in household cleaning.
White Vinegar: Acetic acid in white vinegar offers antimicrobial activity. It’s an eco-friendly alternative to industrial products, capable of dissolving dirt and disinfecting surfaces.
The Combined Effect: When mixed, baking soda and white vinegar create an abrasive reaction that dissolves residues and grease in pipes.

How to Use Them?

You’ll need:

300 ml of white vinegar

100 g of baking soda

2 liters of hot water

Steps:

Bring the water to a simmer in a pot. Add white vinegar and let it boil for 10 minutes.

Pour baking soda directly into the clogged pipe.

Add the vinegar water mixture into the pipe.

Leave it overnight to act, then flush with hot water the next day.

Regular Maintenance Tip: Pour a bottle of white vinegar down your drains monthly to prevent clogs.

Other Natural Unclogging Methods:

The Plunger: Effective for stagnant water in sinks or basins, use it with back-and-forth motions to dislodge clogs.

The Hanger Trick: Straighten a coat hanger to form a hook and use it to remove debris from the pipe, followed by flushing with hot water.

Dishwashing Liquid for Grease: Pour about 5 cl of dishwashing liquid into the clogged drain, followed by boiling water to dissolve grease effectively.

These natural methods offer a safer, eco-friendly alternative to chemical unblockers, effectively dealing with common plumbing issues in your home.”
