Boil 5 cloves of garlic in a saucepan to solve a common problem

Have you ever noticed that certain plants in your garden or on your balcony seem to be in bad shape for no apparent reason? Yellowing leaves, insect attacks or undesirable fungi…

If these problems sound familiar, there’s a simple, 100% natural solution: an infusion of garlic and cinnamon. Inexpensive and easy to prepare, this decoction acts as a powerful natural disinfectant for your plants.

Why is garlic so effective?

Garlic has been recognized for centuries for its antifungal, antibacterial and insecticidal properties. Thanks to its sulfur compounds, it acts as a natural repellent against many pests, while protecting plants against certain cryptogamic diseases.

Bonus idea? Combine garlic with cinnamon! Cinnamon also has antifungal properties, making the decoction even more effective for a healthy garden.

How to prepare this natural decoction

Ingredients:

5 garlic cloves (with skin)

350 ml water

2 cinnamon sticks

Preparation:

Lightly crush the garlic cloves to release their active ingredients.

Place in a saucepan with the cinnamon sticks.

Add the water and bring to the boil.

Let simmer for 5 minutes, then turn off the heat.

Leave to cool, then filter the solution before use.

How to use it on your plants?

Once cooled, this decoction can be sprayed directly onto plant leaves or poured at the base of plants to prevent infection and ward off parasites. Here’s how to use it:

Apply the solution once a week for a preventive effect.

Use at the end of the day to prevent sun damage to wet leaves.

Keep refrigerated for up to 3 days to maintain its effectiveness.

What problems can this infusion solve?

Fight aphids and mites: the scent of garlic repels these little invaders.

Prevent fungal diseases: ideal against oidium, mildew and rust.

Keep ants and other pests away: they hate the smell of garlic.

An alternative to natural chemicals!

With this simple, effective trick, you can do away with chemicals! Your garden stays healthy, while respecting the environment.
